Re: Who is actually happy with the direction Ableton is going?
My biggest complaint if I had any is not so much with Live itself but Push. When Live first hit the scene it was what everyone was using for Live performance but cause of the ability for improvisation and stability of the software itself. Now Push hits the scene. We start hearing words like "w...

Re: Two Instances of Live - Hack to Copy paste, library.cfg

Re: save a midi clip with an instrument preset
Is it possible to save a midi clip with an instrument preset, so that when scrolling through sounds in the browser you can preview the patch? It would also be nice to save a type of groove or pattern to associate with that sound when loading a new instrument. I see you can save clips to a default m...

Re: Live 9 browser NIGHTMARE !!!
Hi don't know if this helps but first time installing live 9 it scans all external folder for samples when you add it as a 'Place' folder. Try making that folder very small, let it scan, close Live, then add all your samples to that location. Start Live, folders should now show up under that Place ...

Re: Live 9 browser NIGHTMARE !!!
I didn't upgrade to Live 9- a big reason is because of the "browser", so i can't test this out. Wouldn't you have to do this trick every time you boot up live? Mike No it works fine im still finding samples not scanned in my external drive and the folder on my 2nd drive has all samples in...

Re: Chain selector value controlled by keyboard midi note data
What if you went into midi map mode and clicked on the chain selector area, then selected the first and last note on the keyboard at the same time? It might interpolate the range between the keys ie if you have a 61 key keyboard then the chain selector will have 61 spots between start and end. !!! ...

Chain selector value controlled by keyboard midi note data
Hi, Ableton 9 has a very powerful feature in the 'macro chain selector' on any instrument or audio rack, allowing to jump through various chains and hear the desired/selected chain and muting the others. But it is limited as you have to change the macro value parameter in a linear fashion. I.e 1,2,3...
