Re: Quneo or Push?
DJ Logik hit everything on the head of the nail regarding the different options. The most difficult part in all of this is "marrying" a certain style to work with. I would advise that whatever route you choose, stick to it and develop your own style. I use a combination of Keyboards, the Q...

Re: rendering songs with frozen tracks.
I'm working with a vocal track right now with multiple effects in Ableton. Because of everything that I'm throwing on these vocals, I have no choice but to freeze the track. This one track alone gobbles up 20% of my processing power. Part of the reason for this is because I'm using some new synths a...

Re: VST Tuner
So frustrating... need a tuner... I get so pissed off at people who hate on 432. If people want to tune to 432... let them tune to 432! ABLETON... MAKE A GLOBAL TUNING CONTROL LIKE ALL OTHER DAWS!!!

Re: Launchpad : tips n tricks, ideas, suggestions
It makes sense to change the rack with automation. I know exactly how he made the light show... but I'm not sure that's what you're asking. I don't see a secret. Just samples being launched. To also launch a LED response, you have to create a new midi track with a midi clip that "plays" th...

Re: Launchpad : tips n tricks, ideas, suggestions
One way you could do it is to make another button switch the bank of the launchpad. In the second bank, that same button could send different midi data and hence change the chords you are playing on the same button. However, it seems redundant to do that... since you could simply choose another butt...

Electro House (Free Download)
I broke all the rules on this one. It has two separate drops altogether with a mix of many different ideas that morph and change into what you hear. All the synths were designed from scratch using Native Instruments Komplete & Ableton Instruments. All vocals are original as well and later destro...

Re: Mouse and Keyboard drop out with Maverick update
I'm getting really upset at this problem. Ableton... please take care of this as soon as possible. I am starting a new track... (where I need to zoom in and out) and I find myself completely unable to work because the entire computer becomes unresponsive by zooming in. It makes me very upset to spen...

Re: Mouse and Keyboard drop out with Maverick update
My fault... I should not have updated so quickly... but then again... it's their fault... they put their stamp on it saying it's the best thing since oreo cookies... and then BAM, you can't make that million dollar hit you were working on.

Re: Mouse and Keyboard drop out with Maverick update
Don't panic... I'm using a workaround. Thank God I found what causes it. What you have to do in order to deal with it is to zoom in to about 1/20th of the track right when you load up the track. That way you are close enough to get things done. Then, DO NOT TOUCH THE ZOOM BUTTON. Just move left and ...

Mouse and Keyboard drop out with Maverick update
I'm having a serious problem. I just updated to Maverick (I wish I hadn't) and every time I load Ableton 9 Suite (64bit), the mouse and keyboard drop out of the screen after 5 minutes of working. I am unable to stop the audio, and the only way to reconnect the mouse and keyboard is to shut down the ...

Re: Ableton 9 & its VST instruments
No :P :( The instruments within live are REALLY powerful... they're just not pretty. I think they should build separate skins for the instruments so they "feel" like a high end software synth. I know it's just appearance... but I think that's one of the reasons why they're not used as muc...

Re: Ableton 9 & its VST instruments
They are all Live's own instruments and effects. No external VSTs. Mostly Analog and Operator. Even though you see the four Quneos wobble... that setup is pretty solid. Using the easle fixed my problem. A few months ago I built another stand before the easle u see in the vid. It looked cooler... (li...

Ableton 9 & its VST instruments
First off, I'm so glad I got Ableton 9. In order to keep everything stable and with minimal processing power during my live sets, I chose to use the VST instruments that come within Ableton Suite. I don't use Massive, FM8, Sylenth, or any of the "big hitters." I'm learning about sound desi...
