Re: Search function for tracks
I found this exact thread because I also want this feature! the ability to search in your session the exact name for your tracks or devices so we can save some time scrolling!

Re: Live slow to load plugins
On large sessions, all plugins take 10 seconds to load – even factory audio effects and new samples in drum rack cells. Right now I'm on a pretty big session but it's running at only 20% on my CPU at 512 buffer. So there's no reason it should be doing this. My computer is a Mac with i7 4790k (4.0 G...

Re: Track dragging in arrangement view.
oh damn! haha because we didn't know you could do that. thanks!justanametouse wrote:Why not cut + paste the tracks you want to move? Seems to yield the same result.
EDIT: Could also highlight the tracks, click/hold, and use Function + Up Arrow (if on Mac; equivalent on Windows is Alt + Up Arrow, I think).

Track dragging in arrangement view.
Hi all, sometimes my project gets to be about 100 tracks or so. I'd like to move tracks from the bottom to the top of the arrangement view. When I drag, it goes slow and I have to be patient. In some older version of Live, I was able to scroll as I was dragging to speed up the process. Does anyone e...

Re: MIDI Note Slicing
I would like to chime in here to also say I've been missing this feature as well! One thing I did notice though is that Logic and Premiere Pro have tools you can change between. I really wanted to just click on a scissors tool and slice the MIDI.

VoiceOver Accessibility option for a blind producer.
Hello, recently a friend of mine came to me with an ableton Push 2. He is blind and wanted to ask me if I can help him use it. Before he was blind, he was able to make beats using the MPC. My question: is it possible for Ableton and/or Mac OS High Sierra able to provide VoiceOver option? The idea is...

Re: adding portamento between slices of a MIDI track. How to do?
When you select "slice to midi" there should be a modal dialog box pop up. In that box there's a pulldown, usually its set at "default" or "initial" or something like that. Hit that pulldown menu and find one of the entries with the word "sampler" in. Now whe...

Re: Mac Pro 1,1 or 2,1 for Ableton Suite 8?
@mohawk33 I am running Live 9.5 According to Ableton's website, the System requirements to run Live 8 for OSX: 10.4.11 (10.5 or later recommended). So that means Live 8 can run on your current system and a future system should you decide to upgrade to mavericks. Now, I believe you may be able to use...

Re: Mac Pro 1,1 or 2,1 for Ableton Suite 8?
Hey dude, I wanted to share my post with you. This is a pic of my studio running an older Mac Pro. http://imgur.com/lzrWVgT This machine was manufactured in 2009 MacPro4,1. I upgraded the stock Dual CPUs from some I got through eBay. The firmware had to be updated in order for the new CPUs to work. ...

Re: adding portamento between slices of a MIDI track. How to do?
Have you set it to monophonic / voices =1 I don't think Sampler does poly portamento. I also seem to recall it's called "glide" , I'm assuming you found the correct control (in the pitch tab) Also, all the slices must be in the same Sampler. I think some of the slice presets create chains...
