I don't know, but I'm using Live 9 right now.

I have my APC 40 mapped up and everything. But when I'm done recording I go to see my song and I doesn't record the crossfade.

Yeah, it does limit me to 16 and 8. It does say I have APC edition. Does that make a difference?

You should just have to right-click the clip, slice to MIDI, set quantization and it should have created a new track with a bunch of clips in simplers. Otherwise, go to youtube and sarch for a video on doing it. There should be enough of them for Ableton there to point you in the right direction ...
