Agh! After closer examination the panning works when I disable the Guitar Rig that I have on.

Re: Mono - not showing up in right channel when panned to the R
yes that is correct. at 50L the sound is still as if it is C.
When it is at exactly 50R the sound is gone altogether. In other words, anything other than 50R is full sound on both speakers.

Re: Mono - not showing up in right channel when panned to the R
Just realized something.
The track is inside of a group.
When I pan on the track itself, I exhibit the problem stated.
If I pan the group itself, then it works.
However, thats not what i really want to do, there are two tracks inside of that group. I want to pan one track left and one track right.

Re: Mono - not showing up in right channel when panned to the R
I've tried this but it has no effect.
I drop the utility directly onto the track which I want to be able to pan.
In the drop down is left, right, stereo, swap.
None of these drop down selections do anything for me.

Mono - not showing up in right channel when panned to the R
I recorded a riff on my guitar directly into Ableton, it was recorded as Mono. When it is panned C, i can hear it come out of both speakers. However, when I pan it to 50R, the sound disappears altogether. everywhere else from 50L - C - 49R has sound, but only on both speakers. Is there anyway to mak...

Re: What affordable headphones should I get?
Don't go on Amazon.... the MDR-V600 are a staple, don't pay full price. Here are a pair for $50.

Don't worry about used, again, these things are staples, they don't break. I've had mine since freaking High School!

Re: A way for a track to bypass the effects on the master track?
For the record I can't group everything into a gigantic group and leave the one track out because I already have a bunch of tracks grouped.... and when I try to group again, the option disappears.
I guess ableton doesn't allow groups within groups.

A way for a track to bypass the effects on the master track?
Hi, on the master track there I have automated the speakers to cut out, because I wanted to do a temp drop out of all noise.
BUT, there is one track that I want to persist. Is there a way for me to have that one track bypass the speaker cut off on the Master that I have automated?

Commercially successful music and commercial music...
So I'm going through archives of music and I'm wondering to myself what the difference is between music that is commercially successful (Dr. Dre, Luke Gottwald, Benny Blanco, etc) and just the gigs of stock music that is licensed for commercials, TV, radio spots, etc. I'm browsing the libraries of t...

Re: How Many of You Wish You Had a Place to Get Away to 4 Music?
Yeah it's quite a big deal for me. I live with my fiance and her 11 year old son, in a too small apartment with thin walls and fortunately very easy going neighbors. Still, my headphones are my friend. My fiance is getting her MFA in creative writing and we both have full time day jobs and after wo...
