Not related but I have a similar model MBP and I tried installing El Capitan and I had serious lagging graphics. The lag on Live's VU's was enough to make me roll back via timecapsule. How's it working for you?


No issues with El Capitan or graphics. All fine on large projects.

- I've been wanting to upgrade for some time now as my laptop is 3 years old. I would prefer something smaller and lighter but nothing comes close to its power.

This is really annoying for melodic samples... They become locked to the default pitch

There's not been a peep from Ableton about this update... Very poor.

Old post, but new curiosity... Is ableton sharing ever going to re appear? It was a genius idea, and an important one for modern collaboration now that we have pretty fast internet connections.

Please bring it back!

+1 This seems an easy update ableton... C'mon. Constantly going back and forth to the keyboard arrows for this usually. Speed up workflow.
