I'm not entirely sure from memory whether you can assign multiple keys or buttons to a particular ranges in order to have it trigger a certain range. You cannot assign a key to a partial chain selection. But this can be achieved using dummy clips which can be assigned separately to switch to these....

Are you saying that you want a particular device in your rack to play depending on the note you hit? Or you just want to map them to turn them on and off? I have a rack group with 12 chains. I need to be able to turn each one of them on based on a key or midi note. But I also need to be able to turn the other 11 off at the same time. Normally one of the other chains will be on when a key is pressed. Is this possible?

I have two chains in a macro, A and B. I'm trying to map speaker on/off to a single macro control for both chains. When the macro control is left, chain A is on and B is off, and when it is right, chain A is off and B is on. So far I haven't been able to do that. Is there a better way?

Retina display is just one more priority in Ableton's backlog. They are absolutely right to ignore it and keep the focus on enhancements that improve Live's music-making capabilities. Most of the core library instruments show only the macro control panel. Although they were obviously created by some combination of Simpler and other components in a rack, the rack is "locked" because Show Devices and Show Chain List is missing and there is no way to look under the covers....

Lots of them for iPhone/iPad. Best one I've found is Octavian Pro.
