Re: force drum rack layout on push
any way to force a drum rack layout instead of melodic? as far as i know adding a drum rack to the poly tracks isnt an option because it disables the "MIDI to" option on the track.. You force drum rack layout by adding one. Use "External Instrument", on a pad/chain, that let's y...

Re: Ableton and Windows 8
Also, if you're running Windows 8 get Start8 from stardock. I've recently bought a new machine here with Win 8 Pro 64 bit and it's been awesome. But Start8 makes it .. erm... awesomer :) giving back the start menu and logging me right into desktop. It's basically how it should have been without need...

Re: Anybody experiencing disappearin plugin windows in Win7
this shit happens with native drivers and a logitech mouse and an apple trackpad as well. so it's NOT only an intellipoint problem. I empathize with you man. Just sharing the findings I had for others. If it happens with native drivers, that's a total bummer. When you say "native" are you...

Re: Anybody experiencing disappearin plugin windows in Win7
Intellipoint and Intellitype and all that are drivers for microsoft input devices. If you have a microsoft input device, mouse, trackball, keyboard, etc, odds are it's installed there somewhere if you used the driver CD. It fixed my problem 100%. Also, some plugins that didn't respond to scrollwheel...

Re: Anybody experiencing disappearin plugin windows in Win7
I have fixed this problem. Ableton contacted me after submitting the ticket.
I uninstalled Microsoft Intellipoint software, and it works fine now.

Re: Anybody experiencing disappearin plugin windows in Win7
This is happening to me, and has always happened. It's reproducible EVERY time. It's on ALL plugins, and for me it ONLY happens when I click and drag and HOLD the mouse (which I often do when adjusting plugin knobs!), as soon as a few seconds elapse, the plugin window flashes, still remains on scree...

Need some help with inbound NRPNs from MS-2000
Hi. First, I know this is a lot of text to parse. I've tried to break it down as simply as possible to articulate what I'm asking for. Thanks in advance for your patience and understanding as this is somewhat difficult to relay as I'm relatively new to MAX/MSP in M4L. Also I'm trying to relay the en...

APC40 Wallpaper Quick Reference - Complete Default Live Map
Hi, I've spent a few hours documenting/creating/compiling an APC-40 wallpaper quick reference. Included in the zip is my XLS file which was used to document (painfully I might add) all of the default Live devices APC-40 mappings for the device control knobs. I run 1680x1050 resolution, and have dual...

Re: microKORG MIDI device for MAX4LIVE
I added support for NRPNs, arpeggiator, default program selector patches, and virtual patching. If I could send sysex to and from M4L it would be better, but I can't (live ignores sysex completely). I've heard of workarounds using OSC but that goes a bit further than I want to go for something simpl...

Re: microKORG MIDI device for MAX4LIVE
Thanks for the tip. I didn't realize that there were 2 out ports one sending 0 to 1 float and so i used that and multiply by max value.
