Re: Midi output from Drum Rack
thank for the tip, I did meanwhile find a solution: 1) Make a midi track 2) Put on a midi fx rack where you have one zone per key 3) put the Drum Rack on at the end This way has made it easy for me to control individual pads and when I want the midi, I just record it from the midi fx rack instead fr...

Midi output from Drum Rack
Hi all, I'm a bit frustrated about drum racks. Recording midi from the track where my DR is on, only allows to record midi that is affected by the midi effect placed before the DR – not the midi affected by the midi fx I've put on the drum pads. I've had to route the midi with "external instrum...

Re: Unindentified 'E' button
Just realised it could be a button for one of the things Abletons never had that others do.
An Event button.
But who knows ? I'd really like an answer
Or something to do with external connections somehow since it's on a vst

Re: Unindentified 'E' button
This photo is taken directly from abletons reference manual online..
..I tried clicking it, but the only thing happening is my mouse is saying a sound like "click, clickety click, click"..

Unindentified 'E' button
Hey all,
I've been wondering if anyone could tell me what button it is that Ableton is showing us in the reference manual, labeled "E".
Anybody?

Easier way of assigning choke groups
I would like the drum rack instrument to be able to assign choke group numbers to more pads at the same time. Just like I'm used to select multiple channel and adjust volume, panning, color etc. The same would be nice if the sends and volume of pads had the same functionality while we're at it :) Ha...

Re: A question about frozen clips
Yup that was it!
Solved it by making a folder with an action for converting the frozen files to 24, so just a little workaround (and maybe not particularly clever since I now have duplicates), but once again thanks for the info
Have a nice day!

A question about frozen clips
Hi all, I noticed the other day that all my frozen clips aren't readable when browsing them through Reason 6.5, which makes we wonder if anybody knows the difference with - for examples - the consolidated and the frozen wav files? 'Cause I'd really love for Reason to able to read the frozen files, s...

Re: Issues with using the new "Enter" function
Oh I think maybe I've misunderstood it then..!
I thought it was a way of switching the selection between a clips time and the timeline.
I'll test it again when I get home - thanks for the quick reply

Issues with using the new "Enter" function
Hi all, When buying Live 9 I read about this nice new function (excerpt from chapter 1.2.5 of the manual): "The [Enter] key now toggles between time and note selection in MIDI clips. If the loop brace is selected, pressing [Enter] will switch the selection to the time within the loop brace.&quo...

Did Ableton contact you regarding their new Disco skin for 9.0.3~4?
'Cause it seems you inspired them a bit there

Re: I give up! Where did they hide the Live 9 manual?
I contacted support yesterday, and it's not online yet - they told me that my request will be forwarded so it will be up soon from what I could tell by the response I got. I have to have my 'bible' with everywhere I go! :D If you have Live already installed, the manual-file can be found under "...
