If it takes as long as version 9, 10+ Terabytes of RAM will be pretty much standard when Ableton 10 gets released.XSIMan wrote:When Ableton Live 9 gets to 256GB of ram use it crashes so we need Live 10 to have 128bit support so it can utilise 12 Tetrabytes of RAM.

Re: Novation without automap
I have a Novation SL MKII an don`t use automap (anymore). Roman Sharov did a script for Ableton that works excactly the way I like. https://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=192290 It doesn`t work with Nocturn, but you`re not forced to use Automap with Ableton. You can either midimap your kn...

Re: Epic Hans Zimmer score of Zimmerian epic proportions
I like it. But I like John Williams Superman Theme better, although it wouldn`t fit because "Man of Steel" is much "darker" than the old films. However Williams Superman theme (although it has the typical Williams touch as this one here sounds like Zimmer) still is one, if not TH...

Re: Why do YOU choose Ableton?!
I´m much more productive with it because it works as it should. I don`t have to think about it and I`m able to(n) concentrate on the important parts, the music, not "wrestling" with the software.

Re: i got ZEBRA2 today
Have fun with it! It`s my favorite softsynth. Some people find the interface confusing. In my opinion it has, regarding the complexity of the synth, the most logical and easiest interface I´ve seen. I would say the interface is reason no.1 why I love this thing so much. U-He also has an excellent su...

I prefer Dark color schemes for practical reasons, not because they look pretty (or not).

Re: SL Ultimate Control (new custom script for Novation SL MkII)
It`s dead easy because it`s intuitive. At least to me. In fact I think it`s hard to do it any better with the restriction and buttons of the MK. Just try it out. The pictures and description Roman Sharov posted should be enough to get you started. If you´ve worked with the default script for some wh...

Great! I absolutely love u-he stuff
Any news about cpu-efficiency of Diva ? I hope they can optimize it further
I also hope they will implement some of the Diva filters in Zebra 3.

Hopefully they don`t forget Zebra3. They are working on many different projects for such a small team.

Re: Massive vs FM8 vs Zebra 2?
Me too. Never had any problems with 9 (or 8 ) and Zebra 2.5. And I normally use many Zebra instances.
Only when I have a Zebra(Automapped) in a track and the Automap server hasn`t been started before, Live crashes. But that`s an Automap issue.

Re: Novation Impulse or Novation 49 SL Mk II for Ableton?
I'm looking at the impulse as well and was wondering if you've used it without automap? Will most of the controls map using the built in mapping from Live or is using automap a must to get the most out of it? I've seen a lot of horror stories about automap and would prefer not to have to install it...

I`m loving Zebra. Together with Diva, my favorite softsynth.
