I think you should go and try the AKG k240 and k271
they re quite flat in response, the 240 is semi-open so it would hurt your ears less with long working hours.

I use a nord lead 2, a virus B, an sh201, NI battery 3, guitar and flute and some sampling from films
I can easily say though I play the ableton and the mixer as much as these instruments :)
