Using impulse responses for LePou third party guitar amp sim
I am trying to use third party guitar amp simulation vsts, including the LePou plugins, in ableton live 9 on mac osx. Are there any articles or other resources dedicated to doing this in ableton on a mac? Most references are to windows and reaper. For example, on a mac what folder should impulse ...

Re: mapping midi controller to vst params
I am having trouble with getting my mappings to save. I use the config in the instrument rack, and then midi map it, but the mappings dont save. I have also tried saving a preset in massive (the plug-in i'm mapping at the moment) but even after opening that preset in the instrument rack, the ...

Re: mapping midi controller to vst params
Thank you revoltcrew. can you give me some detail on mapping the bcr2000 encoders to the parameter configure panel? Are you using the "learn mode" in bcr2000, or manual mapping? is it on the u1 setting for use with usb? I am just getting started with the bcr2000, so the more detail the better ...

Re: mapping midi controller to vst params
I am using regular rotary encoders on the bcr2000, not the top row, but the second. I have tried using two vsts: massive and sylenth, both with the same result. In the bcr2000's learn mode you first set the knob on the device, then turn a virtual knob on the vst to map it. Im wondering if the vsts ...

set default loop length for a midi clip
I mostly record midi clips of 2 bar loops. There is a default clip loop length of 1 bar. This is not something that can be changed and saved as a midi track default. I have to either use the mouse and keyboard every time I start a new clip (I use push and try not to use the mouse and keyboard as ...

mapping midi controller to vst params
I have used instrument racks with push to control 8 parameters on a vst plugin, but I want to use a contoller with more knobs and assign them to more than 8 parameters in a vst. I recently purchased a Behringer bcr2000 which has 24 knobs, but am having trouble with mapping it to the vst controls on ...

Re: Ableton Live and BCR2000?
I recently purchased the BCR2000 to control vsti's in ableton.
The problem I am having is that as I try to assign encoders to the controls of a vst using behringer's "learn" mode, all assigned behringer controllers map to the most recently selected vst param.
Example: assign behringer controller 1 ...

retaining levels in midi to audio
Ableton noob question:
Converting midi clips to audio in session mode, I find that the level I had for the midi clip in session mode's mixer is ignored. How can I convert a clip to audio while retaining a specific volume level?
Here is some background: I have midi clips using different drumkits, I ...
