I would stay away from apogee based on my history with them, ie... they don't update their drivers, it's a way to force us to buy more hardware
i have an rme babyface, it's portable, works great and robust

i'm more of a traditional jazz/rock type guy, i have so much fun playing with live, i've done some more electronic music lately... less guitar and bass and more software

these are separate folders and separate projects

i tend to make several versions of projects in different places, and often want to transport my audio from live into dp8 to mix and finish... the problem i have is that with every version, the audio files are not all in the new versions folder, but spread out among them... how do i save all the ...

I cannot get dp8 to control live9 properly, i open dp, ableton shows up as an option for making an aux track, then open live, but when i go to dp8 to try to open a midi track to control an instrument in live, it doesn't show up... i'm so frustrated

i bought on special and there were no more boxed sets, so it's too late i think

very cool, funny how sometimes the most obvious intuitive answers are so difficult...

that sounds way too easy haha... the gui looks weird in arrangement view, but i have to check it out now... lol... i feel stupid

when i started using live, i loved it because i could now record my own loops and use that as a compositional tool... however now that i am working on writing tunes, where i make loops in the session view, and then group several together to make parts... i want to go back, add intros endings etc ...
