Yes, I am having the EXACT same problem! Everything was fine until I upgraded to 10.6.8 earlier this afternoon. Now it won't even launch. Must be a bug with 10.6.8?? I hope that they get it figured out before my trial period ends

Just intalled 10.8.3 and now Ableton 9 will not launch at all!
