Re: Live 9 Suite Box

Tell you what - the print in the manual isn't even very good. It all looks quite light, not dark enough. This makes some of the images look like a muddy, low contrast mess! Live 9 Suite Box

My "box" turned up today - Quite nice!
Perhaps not as solid as some of the previous "Suite" boxes, but it looks good and I got my stickers.

Not sure I'll be needing the 80 blank "notes" pages in the back of the manual, but hey, someone out there might need that many!

Re: 12 to 16 Weeks :-(

I ordered mine from the Ableton shop at 18:33 GMT on the 5th March.
When I checked my account yesterday it stated delivery would be in 4-6weeks.
I checked again today and it now states 12-16 weeks!

Re: Super small 'desktop' computer

From a personal standpoint I also run Live on a Mac Mini - however the OP is asking for ideas on systems other than a Mac Mini.

Re: 12 to 16 Weeks :-(

I work at a sub-contract electronics manufacturing company.
If the Abes pass me the PCB gerbers, bill-of-materials and metalwork I could knock up a few :)

Re: Super small 'desktop' computer

In the UK the price is around £300 for the ID83 system, which comes with an i3 3120M, however I have a feeling this is a "barebones" system so more money would need to be spent on memory, HDD etc.....

Re: Super small 'desktop' computer

I think you Place these Z-boxes somewhere in the range of today's Midrange Smartphones. Hmm, i was looking at this one:- http://www.zotac.com/products/mini-pcs/zbox/intel/product/intel-1/detail/zbox-id82/sort/crdate/order/DESC/amount/10/section/specifications.html Which uses an i3 2330M and can tak...

True, but the original post states that Live only needs to run 3 tracks. If the ZBOX could provide enough power to do this it would be a big saving, compared to the price of a Mac Mini?

How about one of the Zotac ZBOX range?

Not used them before but they sure do look small in size!

Wow, this is quite a big step - you have a thought provoking situation. I have read most of the posts in this thread but not all, so please excuse me if this suggestion has already been made:- Have you approached your employer regarding any kind of sabbatical break, or perhaps a reduction in working...

@Sarrova:-
I take it you are another happy Killamix user!
I wouldn't trade mine, I have it sitting right in front of my MBook Pro, permanently!
