Re: How to fully incorporate iPad into Live

Check out the studiomux app. You install a small server program on the computer and a vst and it will route digital audio and midi through the lightning connector. It works well when I want to integrate the iPad into ableton

any ideas on how to save L10 favorites on second computr?

Im hesitant to really go nuts with the color coding if i cant easily have it sync with my laptop, or back to the desktop if I work on organizing when im bored at the laundromat. Maybe there is a config file i can sync. i guess its supposed to be quick and ephemeral. although maybe they should have i...

Re: Best audio interface - working with ipad

RME UCX would be the best. The RME babyface pro will also work and is cheaper, but you'll need to use adat to get more physical outputs, or split one of the headphone jacks out, since there are two

Re: MPE Workaraound Live 10

when each note uses its own midi channel, it opens up independent pitch change per note, channel pressure/poly aftertouch, as well as independant control changes per note, etc.. Yeah it is the same workaround used in the past, but the difference is you can edit the midi as a group using multiclip ed...

Re: MPE Workaraound Live 10

Oh my rambling at 1AM wasn’t clear? This is a method for using a Roli keyboard or Linnstrument that can send out a different midi channel for every note played. With real mpe support you wouldn’t have to make 8 midi tracks for 8 note polyphony, rather a single track in mpe mode or whatever could han...

MPE Workaraound Live 10

Even though its not great, Its now a lot easier to edit MPE sequences. I disable exclusive arm, enable record on scene launch, make as many midi clips as you need for polyphony and point them to the vst. arm them all , record with a scene launch, and select all the clips to edit the midi notes with ...

Re: Finally got Suite & Push 2 so I have an automation question

Maybe you are talking about Arrangement mode when you referred to scene mode? make sure the automation button is activated and press shift+record to enable global record, which records into the arrangement mode

Re: ARA - Ableton developers, better get it quick into Live

wow this thread sounds like some maschine users got bored of trolling the NI forum :D I wonder what this buggy version of Live is? maybe its the pirated version, mine works great even with generous M4L patches. Maybe get your computer under control. As a Melodyne 4 Studio user, I would really love t...

Re: Touchscreen monitors experience?

check out http://yeco.io/ this might be a good way to go. a big monitor is nice for this kind of thing. I think it depends on what your doing, I prefer push for velocity sensitive pads and physical knobs, but if your performing a lot from within complex reaktor patches or max devices a custom touch ...

Re: Touchscreen monitors experience?

I got an acer t232hl about a year ago and am very happy with the monitor but less so with Live. It never did integrate as much as I thought it might but I will on occasion reach out and control vsts, which surprisingly tend to work perfectly with touch. Mostly large reaktor patches are nice with tou...

Re: Auto-sampling/recording in Live

I am not sure there is already a way to do this in Live 9 but if there is I can't find, and I will be happy to hear about it. It would be great if there was a way to record samples into Live like an MPC, an SP sampler, or others, where the sampler waits for the input signal to reach a certain thres...
