Use bomes midi translator to convert the track buttons to most used functions in live. I have: << = undo >> = copy clip to next line STOP = delete (on whatever is active) PLAY = switch OVR REC = ARM current track This speeded my production process quite a lot and gives a good use in live scenarios. ...

I just installed my new laptop with dual boot: - XP 32-bit SP3 - Vista 64-bit SP1 And to be honest, 'til now: VISTA ROCKS! I've also done some performance tests: used the generative .alps to create a high load in Ableton with 6ms latency I have a load peaking at 48% max. In Windows XP I had a lot of...

OVR status via midi
Is there a way to catch the status of the OVR button? I can switch it using midi change but when clicked with mouse for example, the darn thing doesn't send anything... Anybody?

Record Quantize
Hi,
Is there a way to change the Record Quantize (on/off, precision) using midi or shortcut keys? I noticed Ableton is not placing underscores in their menus, so using <Alt> wont work either?
Any of you guys know how to handle this?

Sends double volume, noob question?!?
Hi,
I've been trying to figure this out: if I send my sound of a track to one of the sends, the volume doubles (+3dB). That's with effects which also outputs the original signal. The thing I want is: if I send the signal to a send, lower the volume of the track... Is this possible?

The second link works... To be honest: it's not really my kind of music but I want to give you an answer anyway (as I always apreciate people answering my questions). First of all, I'm a beginner too so I might be wrong but I'm missing the 'boooom'. Seems there is some reverb on your kick, it has no...

I've just solved my problem by changing the hardware acceleration. Perhaps you could do the same?

I've solved the issue (but it's more like a workaround)!!! I've changed my graphics accelleration. So 'Right click desktop, Properties, Settings, Advanced, Troubleshoot'. There is a slider: Hardware acceleration. I've put the slider just one bit to the left. The 'Disable cursor and bitmap accelerato...

I've tried quite some things but without result. But things are getting more strange though: if I open the task-manager which forces itself to the front, if I then do my thing (moving a split up-and-down) it doen't click! When I minimize task manager, move split up-and-down, clicks appear. When I op...
