Re: Need some help with gear setup - low signal

welp. you need to provide a bit more information. what mixer are you using and what usb interface. try taking the mixer out of the equation. synth out to interface in - does that improve the volume? if yes then something on the mixer needs changing. if no same volume level then something in your int...

Re: Share your Namm 2014 wish list

My wish for NAMM 2014: that Jordan Rudess does not demo any products or endorse anything. would be nice if Spectrasonics surprised everyone with something new, but I don't hold my breath. IK Multimedia will be showing SampleTank 3 - interested in that report. Roland has been having bad trouble and I...

Re: Built my first computer... and HOOBOY I GOTS A HUGE PROBLEM!

Have you moved the Monitors (speakers) away from the USB interface and from the computer? You may have unshielded monitor (speaker) cables, maybe a short or sometimes just making sure they are really seated and connected to interface can make a huge difference. If you can listen via headphone and yo...

Re: Trying to find that perfect distortion

Izotope Trash 2 is far and away the best distortion plug in I have used. that`s what i wanted to say! definitely the number one. you might not recognize it at first sight but when you go deeper you will realize Oof...that plugin goes in for about 250 bucks. Kinda breaks the bank a little bit haha P...

Re: Worth upgrading to Live 9 Suite from Live 9 standard?

I have a Akai MPK88 controller - it has 16 pads, sliders, knobs, play/rec/stop keys. great controller. I like the Maschine software, wish it were sold as an application without the controller. I think a Maschine Micro would be sort of overkill at this point. But I really do like the software from th...

Re: Worth upgrading to Live 9 Suite from Live 9 standard?

good advice. I think I will wait for a promotion deal. just study the basics of live 9 standard and go from there. I think in my case it would be better of me to spend the money on Groove3 subscription and/or MacProVideo tutorials to learn all the ins and outs of this stuff. oh yeah and as someone m...

Re: Worth upgrading to Live 9 Suite from Live 9 standard?

You have Komplete 9 Ultimate, with FM8, Kontakt, and Reaktor... and your question was what again? if you need operator, sampler, and m4l? Is Live 9 Suite worth the upgrade if you have Standard 9? I have read that Live 8 Suite many people did not use the loops or samples included, that it wasn't wor...

Worth upgrading to Live 9 Suite from Live 9 standard?

I can upgrade from Live 9 standard to Live 9 Suite for $299 USD. I looked at the comparison charts and I know Suite comes with Max for Live and sampler etc etc. Seems like a bunch of loops and samples too. but is it worth upgrading just to have everything or is Standard just fine and invest the $299...
