Thanks for the reply! That is great news but are you still crackle free? I've had times when I was crackle free for a week or so and then it would come right back.

I couldn't agree more and Apogee is acting like this doesn't exists.

Have you tried updating the apogee drivers?
This same issue happened to my set up once I upgraded my Macbook to the quadcore and to Ableton 9.
