The warping engine in 8 is absolutely awful.
I have been using v6 for ages and got a new iMac for the studio, where 6 keeps crashing, so I was forced to upgrade to 8.
8's warping is all over the place - out of 10 digital tracks in a dj mix, i've had to manually warp 4 tracks so far, almost every ...

i'm finding v8 to be a REAL pain, warping wise. Almost every track I warped in v6 would just need a tweak at the start and one at the end to bring it all into line.
I've just had to go through two tracks and almost warp every other beat, and these are digital electronic tracks with no tempo change ...

Having not used Ableton for a couple of months, I went to open the application and received the message "The Application Live Quit Unexpectedly". This was after the program had scanned for VST's and then scanned the audio units.
I tried downloading the latest version and installing but got the same ...

I made sure my folder names were exactly the same as my PC, installed Quicktime and that appears to have fixed the problem.

Hi - I am having this very same problem, attempting to copy my tracks and ASD files to my laptop. Almost every track has lost it's warping, despite being the same version of the program (6.0.7)

I've just transferred all my warped music onto my laptop (a Mac Book Pro running Windows XP (having installed using bootcamp)) and all the ASD files have been copied across, but when I select a track, it's lost all of it's warping.

I'm using the same version of Ableton (6.0.7).

Any ideas?
