EDIT: Now I have created a new track for each track, copied the complete devices, copied the MIDI data, deleted the old tracks and saved. Now it is 14 MB.
EDIT 2: Sometimes when I wanted to create a new track with the same settings (devices) I simply duplicated the track , and deleted only MIDI ...

A gargantuan filesize for no reason.
AL v 12.1.11 on MacOS, M1.
I have started a brand new file.
I worked for a several days, and today I checked the file size that shows 110 MB . I have never seen this size. It has 40 tracks, some grouping. All MIDI.
I have duplicated the file to see what is the reason.

Colorize only certain Push (1) pads
Hello.
Because of one thing I use Push with, I would like to colorize only certain Push (1) pads (pitches), so that I see a different color or they should be on, others off. As plugin to be put on a track, that would be wonderful.
Any idea?

Re: Ableton Notation / Score Editor
+1 for a very good notation editor integrated into Live
Adding my +1.
I'd second that. There are some of us who still like to look at notation!
Agreed. Nearly every DAW has a basic music notation system. Live needs to catch up pronto.
+1, as for now I have to use Re-Wire external ...

[Push 1] Add custom ^5 layout
As we know, there are ^4 and >4, and major ^3 and >3 layouts.
Is it possible to tweak it so that we have perfect fifths (instead of 3rds)?
It would be ^5 and >5.

The number of posts in this thread is a clear signal that we need to make it easier to add custom scales into Push.

Re: Push 2 Scales
And, what does this mean? Tell to someone who is not a programmer.
It is modification of pushbase\melodic_pattern.py file which is decompiled version of pushbase\melodic_pattern.pyc file.

Re: Ableton Notation / Score Editor
OP doesn't like it, but for people that don't know, Livescore is free (it used to be paid) and can be downloaded from here:

Do you use it?
I have a problem. I don't know how to get it work in Arrangement.
Simply I don't see anything. Is there any YouTube ...

Score device displays wierd
I have devices that display pitches on the music staff.
But the position is misplaced (I cannot see all notes), so I open it in Max, re-position and save.
It looks good again but when I leave that track (for instance click on the another tracks) and than come back, the position is misplaced again ...

Re: Bitwig drops the CPU Bomb!
Unless you actually know how Bitwig is programmed you cannot draw such conclusions, I explained my reasoning above
I don't think you should know how each software is programmed in order to draw these conclusions. Almost all available tests do not include that knowledge.
Guess what Live does ...

Re: Bitwig drops the CPU Bomb!
As you have noticed, the CPU speed is not any more going up as much as before. We have reached a long time ago CPU at 3GHz, and today's computers don't need more.
OTOH, applications are developed so much forward that many of them can be run on a TABLET that doesn't have fan or cooling.

You are right, there is no more excuse for CPU spikes and hot computers in our computing age.

I think the backup is a great feature.
Is there any possibility to edit what limit of backup is possible?
I wish to have unlimited....
