I have auto updates on but it hasn't prompted or auto updated, i did only buy it yesterday though.

Hi guys, Im brand new to ableton and i have just bought a novation launch key and a copy of live 9 standard. im just downloading the 9.0.4 update but i just wanted to know if i need to delete the old version afterwards or will 9.0.4 over rite it?.
