Re: Global MIDI mapping
You need to make the midi button "momentary". This can be done using the Novation Components editing software. In the Press Type box change from Toggle to Momentary.

Re: confused about macro automation/clip recording session view
I have Multimapper mfl in a midi track, with the volumes of each track mapped to it. 1 Inset 1 bar midi clip looped into scene 2 Hit session record, automation arm on 3 Set the volumes via midi controller to a nice vibe 4 Stop recording 5 Repeat step 1 to 4 for variations of volume levels 6 Select t...

Peace out Bob,
This is dated 2003, so why is this still not an Ableton feature 14 yrs on? Listen to your customers.

Right that sort of makes sense. Best to forget about it and move on then. Thanks for the reply.

Re: UC33e new user, please help
im having trouble configuring ableton global tempo controls to my uc33. I tried and failed with that one also Bob. I then turned to a handy little program called Clyphx and I can do whatever I want with the tempo now. Ramp it up by 10, drop it by 1. You name it and Clyphx can probably do it. Get in...

Re: Where the hell has "Crash Recovery gone" in Ableton 9 !!??
I'm still rockin XP. When I experience a crash the system shuts down and restarts and I have no option but to open a new instance of Live. Maybe I'll try opening the project I had just been been working on unless it was a new previously unsaved one that is.

Re: How can I jump between specific effect settings?
I've done that using both an Oxygen 8 and the buttons on a uc-33. I had 4 buttons with the same Controller Assign number then edited each buttons data numbers. In the Ox these are "data 2" & "data3" and in the Uc-33 its "data lsb" & "data msb". I made ...

Re: Where the hell has "Crash Recovery gone" in Ableton 9 !!??
That's just weird. I haven't seen crash recovery once in L9 and my aging PC likes nothing better than a bit of blue screen action. Now I understand why people haven't been breaking down the doors of Ableton HQ. Wonder whats needed to get it working again? Any clues please.

Chain Selector Filters Midi Ctrl Option
So I've got that ticked ( Chain Selector Filters Midi Ctrl ) yet there doesn't seem to be any change in the way Ableton v9 behaves. I have a couple of synths in a rack and use the chain select to move between them so I only have to use one hardware keyboard and dont have to change midi channel or an...

Re: Chain Selector passes midi cc information...why??
This still doesn't seem to work properly in v9. I have the "filters midi ctrl" ticked but yet when I move a macro it changes the setting on all the devices in the chain. I've hunted through the manual and can find nothing. Anyone using this feature successfully? Does it matter what type of...

Mad Zach Scratch Macros
Mad Zach Scratch Macros http://www.djtechtools.com/2012/07/23/ableton-live-scratch-macros-with-a-midi-controller/ Just wanted to spread the word about this little Live Pack from the genius that is Mad Zach. It is really great out of the box but when you tweak some of the ranges and drop in your own...

Not exactly sure what you're after but check out http://www.maxforlive.com/library/device/646/mfl-collection-by-the-covert-operators Included in this bundle by the very cool Covert Ops dudes is "SixteenMacros" which I've found to be more stable that the other "16Macros" device. Y...

Re: Where the hell has "Crash Recovery gone" in Ableton 9 !!??
Yeah, kinda thinking the same thing considering I have at least one BSOD per session. Why would they take that feature away? I lose stuff all the time now because I'm out of the habit of saving every 5 minutes. It was a great feature that meant a crash wasn't a major issue as the only thing lost was...
