I am looking for some workflow suggestions when it comes to recording audio.

Say I record a bass line that is some weird length like [start]:1.1.1 [end]:2.4.2. Next I want to add some guitar that I would like to loop through the duration of the bassline(2.4.2 measures) and each time it loops ...

I have controller that is 14bit nrpm. usually midi cc is 7 bit (0-127) but 14bit is an order of magnitude (0-16383).

So I hit midi map and set max value to 256 which is what my nrpm value max is. however the knob still turns with 16383 axis. and when i am in the envelope area it is showing for ...

So when I hit the record button on a track with the 'ableton external instrument' it records the midi data. I prefer this, but what if I want to record the audio?

I found a work around, 'freeze track' after the midi data is in the grid. The downsid here is that my external instrument is no longer ...
