You can purchase a oled display for 30bugs from every electronic dist, use google.
That hole scrap is a array of buttons and knobs and a display, i guess material costs max. 50-100€.
And compare a midi controller with a stand alone synth sampler, sorry no idea...

personal opinion completely over priced midi controller with cool led display, like NI stuff. Buy an ipad pro use it with touchable3 or maybe soon 4 and Abletons link technology for synths and fx. Same price level more possibilities.

your Powermanagement Options are disabled or switched to always full speed? In my case that helps to eliminate that issue, no crackling and no unstable CPU usage Meter anymore!
