i'd really like to buy your m4l device, because it sounds really great but i've read a lot about automatic unmuting of all tracks when loading a live project with pusharrangement on the master. if it is really like that i'd rather not buy it.

No, it jumps back to the previously recorded automation value while recording is still running.

You could also just record one really long take, where you repeat whatever musical idea you had over and over again without ever hitting stop and then duplicate the clip several times and crop out the best parts of it. This way you can concentrate on just playing and then edit out the good parts lat...
