Re: Hardware Engineering

Actually, when I was in university back a few years ago we where building a small double CubeSat type satellite that was going to space in orbit around earth. In space, circuit elements like flash memory can experience random bit flips due to energetic particles in space radiation. So called "s...

Re: Hardware Engineering

I am happy the information was helpful. I am from Norway so I went to a University College in my home town for my bachelor degree. Then I went to the Norwegian University of Science and Technology for my masters degree. Please let me know what you end up doing. Interesting to see how you get along. ...

Re: Hardware Engineering

Hi mate. I have a masters degree in electronics engineering. I must say if you want to make music software you are already on the right track with your computer science program. As mentioned in the previous post C++ can be a great tool for any software development, C++ is sort of the behemoth and mo...

Re: 'Melodics' - FREE finger drumming lessons (Ableton partner)

I never heard back from their support after sending two requests, kinda frustrating. Thats unusual because I got a reply form them in may be the 1 day or 2 I guess... Same here, Sam got back to me quite fast, and the excellent customer service combined with the frequency that they roll out updates ...

Re: Kontakt 5.5.1 crash in Ableton?

Just a small update on this in case anyone experience similar problems: After completely formatting my drive and installing clean windows 10, twice. I seem to have located the problem. Turns out it's not software related at all. I have four RAM modules installed in my computer, each being 4GB for a ...

Re: Choosing monitors for bedroom studio.

Yes, I have been looking a bit at those JBL LSR308's as well. I guess my question is the same as with the Yamaha HS8's, how close to the wall can I put them with a rear port? Should I go for front ported ones in stead?

Choosing monitors for bedroom studio.

I am buying new studio monitors. So far I am looking at the KRK Rokit 8 and the Yamaha HS8. My budget is about 600USD. I am leaning towards the Yamaha HS8 because I live in Tokyo and can probably get a good deal on those. Problem is that my desk is most likely going to be up against a wall and I am ...

Re: 'Melodics' - FREE finger drumming lessons (Ableton partner)

I have been using the free version for a few days now and i am definitely improving my skills. I have encountered an issue though. As I am playing on my Push after 20 minutes or so my pads suddenly become less sensitive and I have to hit them really hard. I have to restart Melodics and push to get b...

This would be great!

Good news that they are working on it. Was there mentioned a time frame? I mean, can I expect to be able to use it during the holidays?

Re: 'Melodics' - FREE finger drumming lessons (Ableton partner)

I downloaded Melodics a few days ago because it seemed really fun and people where saying great things. However I can't get it to work without having stuttering and choppy animations. Every time a note is about to hit the yellow bar the whole side scrolling part of the screen stutters. It also seems...

Re: Kontakt 5.5.1 crash in Ableton?

Kontakt 5 also works flawlessly as a VST in Maschine 2.

I tried updating all audio interface drivers.

Is there any way to rollback to a previous version of Live to see if it happened after the 9.2.2 update?

Re: Kontakt 5.5.1 crash in Ableton?

try running kontakt standalone and load an instrument. Kontakt is known to crash lots of daws until its default library path is established. This is something a lot of people dont read in the NI installer.. after running in stand alone, quit it and run it in ableton, and see if it fixes your proble...
