Push Lesson 1: C Major Chromatic Mode
Sup fellow Push players/fans, I've had the Push since it came out, and have really been digging Chromatic mode... I play it live with bands, transcribe jazz solos with it, etc. I decided to make some videos teaching beginning music theory, and how to play the Push as an instrument in Chromatic Mode....

Ableton push drum sampling experiment
Sup all, A friend of mine went to South Africa and brought back a little drum. I sampled it, mangled it, then played the samples on Ableton push. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4UcpkTshC3A All sounds are from the drums, with the exception of a layer on the bass part (it's a simple sine wave from Op...

Re: my album: tekmusiq, a 10 track epic
This is killer man.
I listened to some of the tunes last night, will check out more later.
The guitar, sonic details, all excellent and well thought out.
Thanks for sharing all this work with us, and keep it up!

Re: my 1st production - The Land of promise
Very cool, and congrats on your first production. I really liked the synth sound and pentatonic vibe (I felt like I was in a future China or something) I could hear it either building with percussion/layers, or going the opposite direction... same sounds with even more space, and more openness. Good...

Re: Videos of Push actually being played like an instrument
I've been digging the Push so far as an instrument. I'm a bass player also, and I've taken my push to gigs for synth bass and samples.
The octave range is limiting, but I enjoy practicing and playing in chromatic mode... Here's a quick video of me noodle-soloing: http://vimeo.com/103201736

Re: Learn to play ableton push or piano?
In my experience (I come from a bass and clarinet background, also shedding piano) some things are easier to play on the piano, some are easier to play on the push. I've been trying to learn piano and push at the same time.. for example, I'll work on a song on piano, then try the same song on Push. ...
