Does anyone know how to auto-quantize recorded audio clips? What I would like to automate is the process of opening up the waveform by double-clicking the clip, and pressing [Ctrl]-u. If there is a way to accomplish this in M4L that would work great too!
Thanks in advance!

Re: Delete clips with MIDI?
If you have programming ability, I would suggest you also get Max4Live. Ableton is very electro centric, not that guitarist friendly without some tweaks. For the music I create (guitar on the shoulder, bass on a mic stand, and midi pedals at my feet) I had to create several M4L devices. Now that I'm...

Re: USB Audio Interface Recommendations, Please?
I use an AudioBox 44vsl and have had good luck with this unit. They make a 22vsl also, maybe worth checking out. I run Win7 on a quad-core with SSD and 16GB ram and am able to use Ableton as both a looping station and guitar amp at the same time. I can play a note on guitar and the latency to my hea...

Ms surface pro 4 and Ableton?
I'm considering the surface pro 4 and ableton. Wondering if anyone has this setup and what the experience has been? I'd love to have a tablet I could put tracks onto to work on in a tablet format for things like long flights and sitting on the couch. Also, if anyone has experience with JamStix and a...

Re: How to license MaxForLive Devices?
Couldn't you write them in embedded C++ code, and include a licensing scheme in those binaries?S4racen wrote:Um, you' can't maxforlive devices are open source by design, you could look at Creative Commons licensing, but it'd be difficult to prove anything...

Automation suggestions please!
All, I am a Live9 user doing an all improvised live looping setup. I am able to control my live set with the midi that I have but wanted to add some automation for building tension. Is there a simple way to create a clip and draw in automation for an effect in another track? Would I be better off cr...

Re: UR44 vs 44VSL audio interface
I know the op already decided, but I have the presonus and no problems so far. I run the l/r channels of an HD500 into it (l channel guitar, r channel I do an octave down for guitar->bass effect). It was on saLe when I bought it and it was easy to set up. Do not regret it.

Midi-mappable undo
I use Live in a one-man-band situation, where I start with some drum tracks and build up music by looping guitar / bass / midi. If I was able to press a single button for undo when I miss the end of a measure or play a sour note, that would be extremely helpful. I know that there are programs out th...
