Re: Feature request that has been ignored for over 6 years

Yeah I forgot about that one. In clip audio editing. Well obvious feature. The lack on in clip editing means that the user has to navigate between session and arrangement to edit samples. The ableton subgrouping thing isnt as intuitive as just banging them in a group and each having independant send...

Re: Feature request that has been ignored for over 6 years

What do you mean seeing different tracks at once? Apologies for the aggressive tone in the initial post i'm pretty hung over and half my shit isn't working lol. Automatable clips on master, return and group channels as well thats a big one I left off. Again looking back at what it was like to first ...

Feature request that has been ignored for over 6 years

Ableton was the first piece of music software that I learned six years ago and it inspired me for what was possible in the software world. So when I see feature requests that havent been addressed for over six years it really fucking pisses me off. When I was learning my way around the routing syste...

Re: Bitwig is the Killa!?

Now im not gonna beat around the bush for what i do which is make techno, deep house and tech house, bitwig fucking owns everything else. End of story. Considering they are going to bring out group trakcs in 1.2 that allow u to have groups within groups and i believe also automation clips on groups ...

Re: OSCiLLOT

I used this for a bit. CPU is an issue for me and I have a top of the line mac book pro. I would use it for sound design but not in a larger project or full track it kills the computer. I find a lot of max stuff like that to be honest. interesting and novel but impractically CPU hungry i mean you re...

Re: push gripes after a few years of use

Apologies if that came across as a bit of a rant. Whats the deal with sending velocity messages from session mode in push? Clip velocity is a neat little feature but it doest work with push i have to midi automate the clips with a keyboard to do this.

push gripes after a few years of use

Ive been using Push since the first batch of them that came out and Ive just gone back into it more deeply to make sure I'm getting the most out of it and to be honest I find some of the features a bit shit. On the whole its great ok. But for example creating fix length clips now I have tried for wh...

Re: no session velocity?

This is possible using a third party midi remote script called PXT live by Native Kontrol. God knows why ableton didn't implement this in push. Clip launch velocity is a great little feature until you learn you can't do it with their dedicated hardware - crazy. Yeah so pxt live is basically extended...

Re: Key Scale and Chord Tracks to Improve Composing

At first I thought these were undiscovered features of Ableton lol. Great ideas and very well presented. And to the guys giving him stick find something better to do he's being constructive and conveying his point in a very detailed and thorough manner.

Re: Is EQ8 a linear phase equalizer?

Just reading about Eq in a good book called Mixing Audio Concepts Tools and Practices which has accompanying audio examples. What its saying about linear eq is that it can sometimes remove unwanted artefacts that are produced when using a normal eq but sometimes when those artefacts occur in a linea...
