What would be the easiest way to find what Key an acapella is in ? And then, where to start with the piano roll to make it fit in the same key ? ( or how does it work ? )

I know this is a strange question, but please help me find any tutorial or something where this is answered in the easiest way ...

I have a Traktor S8 controller that I route thru my sound card ( propeller head balance ) and into live. This has worked for ages, but now when I try capturing with Ext.In ( 1/2 stereo ) the sound is so low. And the inputs on the sound card is almost clipping, so the sourse ( traktor controller ) is ...

I am having really trouble with my sound card / settings on Live.


When I start live and choose a new audio track to record with my mic everything looks fine, but then when I start talk into the mic everything drops in the volume and stays there.

What is the best settings for recording ?

I just bought myself a Mac Pro 4 Core, but It only comes with 12 gig ram. How much RAM do I actually need for like a 20-30 tracks song ?

Is 16 enough or would you guys go for 32 gig ?

I just tried Logic Pro, and I have to say that the VSTs sound better ( massive ) Much more rich sound.

Yeah, the power is connected, and its the CPU on LIVE that goes thru the roof.

Ill try to set it up to 64. Maybe that helps ?

Should not a full spec mid 2012 do the job ?

What can I do to minimize the cpu usage ? Its going over a 100% ( funny enough ) and the sound is way off.
