Re: Push quality issues, how to adress them, and UI requests.
If you ask really nicely they might give you the beta version of an app and firmware that allows you to change the color of individual LED's. Current app has no adjustment for brightness, just color, but it is a night and day difference. Adjustments are stored in firmware.

Re: Rise Rainbow Push...Rise!
They have a calibration tool out now. It's not perfect but better than before and it doesn't effect custom colors so you can still use Seafoam, etc.
Currently the color is adjustable (after a firmware upgrade and running their max based calibration tool) but not the brightness. Turning the pads ...

Re: White knobs?
I think you missed the part about accidentaly grabbing the master knob since it's so close to the others. :)
I might go with a sticker if I don;t find a knob to my liking. They are 6mm D-Shaft (internal) and about 16 or 17mm on the bottom external. 10mm external at the top.

It should be noted the pad sensitivity changes as the unit is "worn in".

Re: White knobs?
Yeah. Could do that but would rather order a 5 cent knob off ebay. Also for resale value I'd like to keep the stock knobs. I just can't remember what the call the shaft style on these pots.

White knobs?
Since the knobs over the pots are plastic, they shoud be replaceable without interfering with the touch sensitivty of the knobs.

Re: Rise Rainbow Push...Rise!
I've posted this elsewhere. My latest email from Ableton was that their deveolpers are working to a soluyion to the matter and are extending my return period till they either have a solution or have determined it's not fixable via software/firmware.

Re: Problems with sustain pedal port on Push. It's reversed?
I read somewhere (manual?) that if you hold down the pedal while starting Push (or was it Live?) then the polarity will be correct on those pedals that seem backwards.

Re: Using Push live on stage etc...
Push is simple to use in a live setting mostly if you take the time to rack up your instruments and effects with macros. Push can scroll through all the perameters of effects but live you just want the perameters you need right there without having to scroll, just twiddling knobs and having fun ...

Re: Did they ever fix the lights?
Velocity setting in drums is a pain with a rainbow. Some units are worse than others. Even with a custom skin file I still have issues. They hope to have a fix for this by the end of the month and will extend return times till they figure out if this is fixable via software/firmware or not.
