Re: Rane SL3 Serato Scratch Live and the feeling
I agree with Radio Arcade. I was a strictly Vinyl DJ for close to 10 years before I added Serato. I notice no difference. The only comment I would have is that you quickly get used to being able to see the waveforms during your mixes. When I switch back to regular vinyl I find myself constantly look...

Re: do you use iTunes
I've never been a fan of itunes. For one thing (on windows) it just seems to slow your whole system down when I-tunes is open. I used Winamp forever, but recently bought a Zune player. I have to say I love the Zune software and I especially love the zune pass subscription. I have gotten into so mucn...

Re: 8.1.1 users, Pops and Clicks, can you make them happen?
I also have increased crackling and popping of audio with even lower cpu usage. Everytime you click something on the screen it will do it. I have not been able to pinpoint it to anything in particular and it doesn't always happen either which makes it difficult to pinpoint. I usualy restart my compu...

Re: Live & Serato - trying to find a definite answer
I had the same probelm trying to sync serato to live through the midi out on my DDM4000. Midi signal seems to round to whole #'s so it gets out of sync quickly. Traktor has the right approach there midi signal never leave the computer it routes via software into live and from what I can tell syncs p...

Re: Are people still having trouble getting an APC40?
Mine is due to arrive tomorrow after 6 week backorder through Sam Ash. Actually mine would still be on backorder If I wasn't checking my order status daily like a madman. I noticed late last week that Sam Ash were advertising they had stock, but my order was still on backorder. I made a phone call a...

HELP! Syncing Live to my DJ set via DDM4000
I am trying to sync ableton live to my dj set via the midi clock output from the Behringer DDM4000. I am able to see the midi clock signal from the mixer in Ableton however only in whole #'s? If the BPM counters on the mixer (which is supposed to be the midiclock output) say 125.6 BPM the midi clock...

Re: Having dj for years on vinyls and being hardly hit by the...
Serato's new version 1.9 now has 4 (or 6 can't remember) samplers built in that you can loop trigger single shot, or re-trigger. You can assign a button on a midi controller or midi mixer and fire away. The only thing is they are not pitch controlled or linked to BPM you are playing at. I think they...

Re: ALESIS PHOTON X25 controller
I have one (but it's out of commision now). It worked well in XP.. then when I switched over to Vista the thing crapped out. A few months later Alesis came out with new drivers and way to reflash the ram on the unit. This process was complicated but it did get the X25 working again. After about a we...
