Since it's a VST3 plugin, there must be a .vst3 file for it in your VST3 folder, as that is the only place any DAW looks for VST3 plugins.
It doesn't necessarily need to have the same filename as its plugin name, plugins are recognized by their plugin ID.

Maybe try this: re-install Spectralayers ...

Have you tried re-installing Spectralayers and then uninstalling it again?

NI finally fixed this bug in the latest Komplete Kontrol 3.2.1.

They should break tradition and release 12 on a Wednesday, just to annoy [erm]

Well, this is a showstopper. I was seriously considering an S61 Mk3. But not now.

I wouldn't recommend their MK3 keyboards. Not because of the quality of the keyboards (which surely is great), but because the new KK v3 software is a complete nightmare.

NI are already aware of the issue but they don't seem to care much about it.

There is a long standing issue with Komplete Kontrol not working properly in Ableton Live, where a plugin loaded into Komplete Kontrol has no GUI. It just shows a black square.
This happens in a lot of plugins, so I made a list of plugins I own in which this occurs:


Algonaut: Atlas
Cherry Audio ...

It would annoy the crap out of me if my VST2 plugins were scattered all over the place in multiple folders. I always install VST2 plugins in the same folder on an external SSD. It only takes a little work to keep things organized, but it can save you a lot of headache.

I'm having this strange issue since Live 11.0.5: sometimes when I close a plugin window, Live disappears into the background behind any other open applications (usually Chrome).

I know Cubase does this all the time, but I never seen this happen in Live before 11.0.5.

I'm running Windows 10 21H1.

Does anyone else have issues with Live not auto updating from 9.7.2 to 9.7.3? I thought this issue was fixed in 9.7.2.

Running Windows 10 x64.
