Drum Rack in Arrangement View - Making Loops
Just a general question here. I've been looking at a lot of videos on how to arrange and get basic song structures together as of lately, a lot of my flaws seem to fall into the category of arranging and getting songs "together". While I can make good sounds and make things sound nice with...

Hard Dance Kicks with Ableton only?
I'm trying to learn how to make a proper hardstyle kick. To my surprise, I found out a lot of it is compression and distortion, a little EQing, maybe a filter or two, more compression, distortion, etc, from what I mostly understand. I want to learn how to make a basic hardstyle kick using only ablet...

Re: Next gen console thread
Grew up with the N64, went through a Dreamcast, Playstation then got a PS2, Gamecube, Xbox, etc. I was a spoiled child, I had a lonely childhood, not a lot of friends so supplemented it with video games. PS2 was always my favorite. Then I got the Xbox 360 over the PS3, had it for years till just thi...

Re: Beginner - Visuals synced to Live
*bump* Anyone? I'd also love to know about this. I don't do live shows, but I have a handful of tracks I wouldn't mind playing to a close circle of friends, having a visual aspect to the show would only add to the experience. Visuals are very important to me, this would be awesome if I could control...

Re: List of shops that sell premium (paid) Ableton Packs
This thread is a huge win, being that I'm too broke to afford anything right now.
Love the Operator presets on that first website (and I don't even really care for Operator, though I know it's pretty damn powerful, just can't wrap my head around the interface - too bland for me).

Re: Question about Cracked Versions
http://elitedaily.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/girl-hitting-bong.jpg Precisely what I had to do after reading the responses. Seriously, you people are unbelievable. I ask one simple question and you go all ADHD on me, not only that but then some of you start accusing me of using a cracked version...

Seriously, you people are unbelievable. I ask one simple question and you go all ADHD on me, not only that but then some of you start accusing me of using a cracked version (Just because I asked about the differences? Where is the logic in this conclusion of yours? Ever hear of mere curiosity?) What...

Thanks?cmreal04 wrote:Really, jump off something very very high onto something very hard.
Oh and Merry Christmas.
I'm gonna assume the attitude is from the assumption that I use a cracked version? I don't. I'm just curious of the differences? Shouldn't be that big of a deal to ask, lol...

Question about Cracked Versions
Got a question for you all about the ableton software. As we all know plenty of people pirate audio and program software all the time. Ableton is obviously heavily pirated. So, as we know a lot of famous producers get caught using pirated or cracked plugins and software. Does doing so cause any degr...

Re: Is Push right for me?
What is your actual drive to sit and make music? Seems it is a question many just don't ask themselves. Do you want to just pass some time, impress others, take thoughts from your mind and tell it through sounds, make money? That would be where I would focus. If you get frustrated getting things do...

Re: Is Push right for me?
Tom does have a point in there being a LOT of threads about Push and "Is it right for me". We cannot say. By the sounds of it you love the concept of Live and it's workflow but if you cannot get your head to actually finish a track or work through the roadblocks then you probably haven't ...

Is Push right for me?
I've been messing around in Ableton Live for a little over a year now. I've come a long way, learned a lot and can now confidently say I know the program very well. While I've never quite finished anything I've started, I feel capable of making good sounding...well, sounds. Arranging and what not is...

Re: Building a kick drum with Ableton.
I am just now getting into creating my own kick sound with layering. When I initially started, I don't know about you but I'd take a kick sample and throw an EQ8 on there with an effect or two and make it sound like my own. I eventually realized by only using one kick sound on top of EQing it, I was...

Re: Kick and Bass (Kick changes tonality with Bass)
I've actually already got the bass slightly side chained to the kick. The bass itself has a mid-way release, coupled with the side-chained effect to give it a more sustained sound, but still maintain that "ducking" effect, ever so subtly. I'm thinking it has more to do with the EQ. For the...
