Experimenting and evolving, beat-related music
So, over the past 6 months or so I've been experimenting with different styles and constantly evolving my productions and performances. Utilizing all kinds of gear, samples, and plugins (faithful to Ableton as my sole DAW). I like golden era hip hop beats, jazz, electronic music, and a lot more. I p...

Reverse/time stretch in drum rack
I wish it were a one-click option to reverse a sound in the drum rack, and also to be able to stretch the time. Sometimes I need to make a sound longer to fit the tempo of the beat, and it would be awesome if I could adjust it around as it's playing.

Re: Are there any common ways of setting up a live beat set?
Thank you. I'll check this out! I'm honestly not sure why so many beat producers choose an MPD for their live shows instead of an APC, which seems more suitable for launching clips in ableton, along with the faders/knobs. I have an MPD which is useful for producing (slicing/playing samples and drums...

Beginner - Visuals synced to Live
I have never used Max before, but I have heard of people using it and creating a visual aspect to their performances that sync to the music. I am now starting to play shows, and this is something I've been wanting to do for a while. I would like to know if anyone knows of some resources for beginner...

Are there any common ways of setting up a live beat set?
I make beats and music that are influenced by beats. I have my first show coming up soon and would like to know if there are any common ways of setting up for using Live and an MPD (I have an MPD26). I've seen this set up a lot, and I'm sure people are doing it differently. I'm just curious if anyon...

Re: IRREX - Experimental Beats
Some cool sounds, lots of potential there. I kept wishing for more fills or transitions, something to break up some of the repetitive nature of the loops. They go good together, just make them flow more and not sound so static. Awesome, thanks for the feedback. I will definitely keep that in mind.

Re: Timestretching in drum rack?
I was afraid so. Perhaps this can get moved to the Feature Wishlist forum. I just don't know how to do that.

I'm influenced by all kinds of jazz, electronic, hip hop, ambient, and experimental music. I would love any feedback, and I can provide feedback in return if you'd like.
Thanks!

Timestretching in drum rack?
Is there a way to timestretch or warp a sample in a drum rack? I often slice audio for sampling into a MIDI drum rack, and wish I knew of an easier way to warp the audio without having to record it.
