Comping is the only thing stopping me from switching to Ableton these days. I've been telling my music friends about how Ableton is amazing except for lacking comping, and everyone's response: "What do you mean it doesn't have comping? How has there never been a comping feature added?"

So it seems the preset thing is an issue with AU's... can anyone tell me why this is the case? Extremely inconvenient... the AU integration is such a useful thing when moving between DAWs, why wouldn't the presets be available?

And nobody knows about the MIDI overlap thing?

So, I'm trying to migrate from Logic to Ableton. This is my first week of actually trying - so far so good, but two important issues today:

1) I have no 3rd party plugin presets. I'm using Audiounits, although that shouldn't make a difference... plugins that have their own preset managers work ...
