Re: VST's that emulate analog synths

yes, many (well maybe not as far as diva since once you dig in it already goes pretty far). The options are already in diva, go to the trimmers panel. Diva is not alone in this, there are plenty of synths that can inject randomness into their tuning, cutoffs, etc, all the things that analogs do. It...

Re: VST's that emulate analog synths

I'm getting a more refined understanding of my interest, I think: I love mistakes, and I'm tasking myself with designing my own unique sounds with VST's - with a keen interest towards deliberately detuning the cleanliness of digital sounds. If the beauty of the analog sub-synth is in it's uniqueness...

Re: VST's that emulate analog synths

They all imitate analog synths. When it comes to that I don't see how one is better than the other. Then, theoretically, Ableton's in house analog synth should be all I need right? There has to be a difference when a VST like Diva is a powerhouse on CPU compared to other VST analog imitators. I'm n...

Re: VST's that emulate analog synths

Duo-core =(. I recall the capability of the i7 can turbo-boost up to 3.3 Ghz or whatever. Man, that minimonsta looks hot though. I'll get on those demos right away. The Diva just seems FAR more versatile. I'm going for quality, not quantity. I'll have to get back to you guys and report on my reviews...

Re: VST's that emulate analog synths

That gforce minimonsta looks like exactly what I'm interested in.

Thank you VERY much.

i'm workin with 2.8 GHz i7 and 16GB RAM, and a budget... That Diva looks huge, but I'm keen on the minimoog right now. I'm not sure if I'm quite ready to max out my CPU, yet.

Arturia sound pretty good, but the morphing capabilities of this minimoog emulation put it in it's own class.
'This minimoog' meaning the one you linked that's on sale, or the Diva?

Re: VST's that emulate analog synths

Right on, thanks for the advice. Your right about figuring it out myself. I'm also interested in hearing what people say about specific VST's pertaining to analog synths. Do you have any opinion as to why U-He Diva is a commonly sourced VST regarding this topic? And $200 is my ceiling for investment...

VST's that emulate analog synths

Hey, I'm relatively new with Ableton, and am incredibly drawn towards analog synths. Has anyone spent a lot of time with the Ableton Analog synth and could give give me some feedback on how it compares to other virtual synths designed to emulate analog synths? I've been playing around with Arturia's...

Re: Shopping for 1-1 Ableton Training

Thanks for the advice! That ill gates guy seems to have some good insight on the nature of how content is presented and the focal points of learning. This is why I'm being particularly picky with finding a mentor, I see a lot of overlapping perspectives that are saturated with technicalities, and ha...

Shopping for 1-1 Ableton Training

What's up Live community! I am about to invest in Ableton Live 9 Suite with Push, and am looking to establish a relationship with a mentor who is a master with Ableton Live. I'm going to contact Ableton support and see if they have any input on the individuals they publicly accredit as certified tra...
