I have dozens of improvisations that I would like to get into Ableton and orchestrate is there any software or addin that will do a wav to MIDI transcription? (often solo piano, piano and voice (and text) , sometimes drum box, sequencers and melodic improve over it)

Live 12 latest version. Had this problem before but forgot the fix.
I have a single audio track. It plays in Live ok. (waveform is there)

track 1 is on (not muted). Extern = Main

Volume level is up (at 0) and registers sound.

just hangs on the first screen. Rebooted same hang.

I love the Capture MIDI feature .... I often improvise before starting the recording ... and have been able to capture a few ideas with Ctrl+Shift+C.

I am recordings an album of my rock tunes .
I play all the instruments so far, but I need to add drums (ranging from soft rock to EDM sytle).
I don't play drums (but I play many other instruments)

I have defineed 2 sets of 6 channels on a Roland TR-8S that I want to be 12 channels together (in sync).

How do I move this to Ableton Live (latest version)? Do I use the TR8S as a clock or record 6 tracks into ableton and then use ableton to drive the TR8s and record the 2nd 6 channels ..???

Yes.

Create a new AUDIO track (#18 for example) and set it's INPUT to the track you want to record (#13 with filter) .. (don't change #13 output)
Then set record on for the #18 , play and manipulate the sound via the filter .. Stop the recording.

NOW you have the effect recorded on track #18 ..

I have a large electronic music recording ...

there is one 20 second section in 1 track (#18) to which I want to add a filter (controled live) effect, then I'd like to have that resulting sound recorded (frozen?) onto another track (#18) ... so I can then remove the filter and paste this back over ...
