Since I do numerous takes on my guitar I need: undo, stop, play, start at same place, track select and change, change between mixer and linear view, loop Seb, Forum Search for threads. . . For these items, you only need something that sends MIDI notes. Your Karm...

Analog mixing "is" summing. Some summing boxes do not alter the levels. It is a non-adjustable analog mixer. Levels are set before sending to the box. More recent ones may be digital controlled analog mixers. In any event, the actual signal path and "mixing" are analog. Note in your article that Mix...

Seb, IMac is good buy and might work but new software complete needed. The IMac was really tempting except for need for all new software (except LIVE!). Complete around $1300. Neat, Friend there is DJ, uses one LIVE! Pilgrim You call that NOT ENCOURAGING? (BTW: "Neat" has a comma after it!) Scuse m...

Thanks. I would never buy Spectral computers, never heard of them. They can end up like Aardvark, kaputz. Im not sure I understand why you dont encourage MAC............? Seb, Your English is showing you up again. Too bad about you getting a reliable computer to your standards. Aardvark was as well...

Re: How to wire digital to analog and back.........
I'm thinking of buying a analog mixing board (16 tracks) for summing digital tracks, can some one explain how to wire the connection..... I have a 002 rack and Digimax LT interface, each have 8 outs. Thanks :D Well, I picked up on your use of the word "summing" tho in digital is not really a warm t...

Bunch of Jokers, right. This is for real. Look in View Menu and get the INfo box showing. There are no windows in LIVE as such, just hiding parts of the two screens (tab between them). Get the Info box showing and pause mouse curser over ANYTHING and hold it there, steady (I have trouble with steady...

Seb, Go to nearest Guitar Center. They have Spectral Computers made for music production and I-Macs. I looked carefully at them lately. Good stuff and GC will back them. IMac is good buy and might work but new software complete needed. The IMac was really tempting except for need for all new softwar...

Hello all, just curious. I just purchased Live and installed it. I am now installing the public beta and the beta installs to a different directory than the full Live installation - is this so that when the full 5.03 version is released, it will install to the default full version directory and the...

All notes off
If you are triggering a plug-in in LIVE!, it should stop. If using another MIDI tone generator, external or other software, use MIDIOX between LIVE! and the player ard you can send a panic from MIDIOX. You COULD embed an "ALL NOTES OFF" in a MIDI clip and play it. www.midiox.com Great lil program, d...

Trying to help or get help under unusual conditions. . .
This is about Sebastian. . . and this Pilgrim . . . because I KNOW that his efforts to use these forums (and others) seem to show him as having some “attitude”. . .or at least a rather RUSHED attitude. . NOT TRUE ! But, yes, it sort-of looks that way. . and my efforts to help him, specifically, are ...

Re: recording on already recorded trcacks
I think that you are missing the whole point of using a multi-track audio program (or DAW) such as LIVE! Subject to system power, any number of “parts” from one to however-many-your-computer-will-play/record-at-a-time (or any unlimited number using bouncing to reduce track count) can be played/monit...

Re: recording on already recorded trcacks
Hi I Have 1 tracka with guitar part A for 10 measures. When I try to record on that SAME track to lay down part B, I start the recording a few measures before part A ends. As you know I can erase the lead in time of the new clip that is recording over part A. The problem is for now I cannot hear th...
