Is this correct? You're supposed to keep Live 10 installed after installing 11?
That doesn't seem right but I haven't found a clear answer on if it causes issues or deletes packs, etc.
What's the lowdown?

Re: Recording tempo/clock from external sync
I am searching maxforlive.com for possibilities because I can't take enough time out to get into max....
Also I am checking out Bome MIDI Translator Pro, that looks like a pretty interesting possibility.

Recording tempo/clock from external sync
Hi - I haven't had any luck with this.... I am working on a hardware performance setup where I run all the tracks into Ableton for recording. I am setting Ableton to receive MIDI clock from an external sequencer. and sync and transport work OK -- external tempo takes over and recording starts and st...

Trouble getting Roli Lightpad Block working
Hi - hoping for help from a lightpad user... I connect my lightpad to PC with USB, and it mostly works (Ableton 10.1, Windows 10). The Roli Dashboard app works. In Ableton the indicator lights show MIDI is being received; in preferences it shows up as expected as a control surface and as a general m...

Re: Export not sounding the same as realtime listening?
Try exporting at the same sample rate as your project (as set in preferences), but first freeze the problem tracks to see if they still sound the same realtime. That has helped me isolate this kind of problem in the past. Could be a plug-in that is giving you a render that sounds different than real...

Skulpt, Uno, Shruthi, DeepMind CC racks
Perhaps of use to owners of these synths -- Midi FX racks with all CC parameters mapped to Ableton parameters. Requires the ControlChange8 max midi effect... http://www.roberthenke.com/technology/m4l.html Cheers Skulpt https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CJXR6yLHj6onUFMMOPYmGpEfxOvH2ZCx/view?usp=sharin...

A Live set that functions as a CPU/system benchmark test?
Watching my PC slowly grind through another Live export render sends me researching the best CPU/system in my price range. Long story short I think it would be cool if there existed a downloadable Live set, basic enough that it could work for Intro, Standard and Suite, to get a benchmark score that ...

Set breakpoints for all params at once?
I've been trying to figure out if there is a way to set breakpoints for all parameters of a device or chain or track at once. A keyboard shortcut or max trick or something else. The perfect solution would be to do that only for the already automated envelopes instead of every single parameter. I hav...

A good floor stand for Push 2
Hunting the forum and google I wasn't able to find a floor stand for the push 2 that worked for me, just wanted to post a link to the stand I did find that works great. "Creative Extensions" coming?
This morning my feed reader showed a post from Ableton introducing a new pack for suite, "Creative Extensions"... It looked like a pretty darn cool set of tools, but the post has vanished. Hoping it comes back!

Ableton please fix automation disabling when rendering
Anytime I use a Melda Production plug-in in a project, parameter envelopes become disabled when exporting or freezing. The only way to render those tracks without errors is to bounce them in real time to another track, or to map a parameter to a macro everytime you need to automate it. I'm on the cu...

Re: Live 32-bit to be discontinued
Seems like a good way to let the 32-bit users know that they need to get with the times if they want to upgrade to 10... Head off the inevitable "I've been using Ableton since 1972 and it worked just fine at 32-bit, I quit Ableton!" type comments.

Re: a uniform velocity/aftertouch rating for pad controllers?
Well, I see what you mean, but what made me think about this is that there can be objective measurements of a pad's response that would be helpful. Like, no matter what the pad feels like or how sensitivity is adjusted there is still an absolute minimum force required to get maximum velocity (the kg...
