Easiest way to copy a pad from one drum rack to another
What's the easiest way to copy a drum pad from one drum rack to another? Currently, the way that I know to do this is quite cumbersome. I go to the drum rack where I want to copy from, I hold down the ctrl key, then I click and hold on a drum pad, then I drag that over to the channel where the new d...

Easy Jog Wheel Integration
I want to be able to map any knob on any midi controller to the "play head" position. Turn the knob and the little gold line moves left or right by one line then hit space bar or whatever and it plays from that position. Also subsequently... functions for "jump back 1 bar" or 2 b...

Re: Infuriating routing issue Drum rack + Kontakt + Push 2
@Dummy I get now what you meant. Put the Kontakt instance on a pad way down. Set a Midi pitch device on the pads you want Kontakt to play a drum. next an External Instrument, select Battery in it's Midi To menu. With the pitch device you can now select which Kontakt drum to play. Alternatively ommi...

Move drum rack pads without using computer?
I want to move drum rack pad on note c1 to note f1. I want to do this on the push without having to look at my computer. Is there any way to do this? Also, I want to COPY a pad from c1 to f1 just using the push, is this possible? As far as I can tell, there is only one, super wonky way to do this. Y...

Re: Infuriating routing issue Drum rack + Kontakt + Push 2
https://preview.ibb.co/i9WFca/Bildschirmfoto_2017_05_22_um_16_53_31.png This way "works". It lets me link whatever pad I want to whatever I want in Kontakt. The problem is that it opens up countless instances of Kontakt. It defeats the purpose of what I'm trying to do. I'm looking for one...

Re: Infuriating routing issue Drum rack + Kontakt + Push 2
By default all pads on a drum rack send C3, you have to change the note that is played by each pad on the drum rack chain configuration. I would suggest to consult the manual on this, section 18.6 https://cdn2-resources.ableton.com/80bA26cPQ1hEJDFjpUKntxfqdmG3ZykO/static/images/manual/en/26929.png ...

Infuriating routing issue Drum rack + Kontakt + Push 2
This seems like it should be a lot easier to do, but I can't seem to figure out a way to make this work. I have a 64 pad drum rack, with the Push 2. I want the drum rack to have some pads that trigger drums in Kontakt, and some pads that just act like normal drum rack pads that trigger local samples...

Turn Accent on or off for individual notes in a drum rack?
(Push 2)
Is there a way to set some notes to be velocity sensitive and some notes to not be velocity sensitive? Seems like this is an all or nothing button.
Or perhaps am I over thinking this and there's a different way to achieve this?

Record without setting bpm... auto detect bpm after the fact
This might sound backwards... I want to record drums without a metronome playing... Or without setting the bpm on the midi clip. After I'm done playing... I want Ableton to auto detect the bpm I was playing at. Is there any way to accomplish this? Sometimes having the metronome playing will throw yo...

On the Push 1, has anyone figured out how to color code individual pads when in 64 pad mode?

Any way to lock the bottom right 16 pads on drum kit?
When you have a drum kit loaded, is there any way to lock the bottom right 16 pads so they don't do anything? When I'm playing beats I often accidentally hit some of these keys. I heard in the 9.2 update they were making some changes that allow for 64 pad drum kits which sounds awesome. Anyone had a...

Re: How to play the Push live while recording other instruments.
I think I figured out another part of this. Session Record vs Arrangement Record If you use the session record button on top of all of this, it allows you to over dub the clip that you have playing. This is the part that was driving me nuts. So I have four keyboard keys mapped out. "R" for...

Here's a couple screen shots.
Feel free to admonish me for doing this so stupidly and offer any kind of advice to do it better. I'm open for suggestions.

Re: How to play the Push live while recording other instruments.
Ok, I'm making some progress on this problem. It's not easy, and it's kind of some bullshit how it works out to be honest. One of the biggest problems to work around is that the record button on the push is a global record button. If you hit it you are essentially hitting record for all track in the...

How to play the Push live while recording other instruments.
There's something that I don't have set up right, maybe someone can point me in the right direction. Channel 1: Ableton Push Drum Rack. Channel 2: Guitar going through digital audio interface. I'm struggling with being able to do what I want on the push without stopping the guitar track and being ab...
