Hi mate... This solutions sounds like just what I need.

2 questions though:

1. When I open the .adg up in text editor, the contents reads in crazy system code and not english, so I cannot see the highlighted text.

2. When re-saving the text file; how does one ensure it is saved as a .adg ...

sadly still not implented in Live 11

Thank tayler1206 for those two really good suggestions. The copy and paste manually worked well although I can see where problems may occur with more complex midi data. Also there seems to be hit and miss at to the time at which the midi destination occurs (but the notes are correct) so no problem ...
