Sounds bizarre--I use Kontakt 6 all the time. Live Standard user as well. Just tried it on my setup just to be sure and it worked fine and just updated Kontakt 6 yesterday.

What OS are you on? What's the patch level of Live?

Going to need a lot more information here to be of any help. Instrument? Interface? Connections, both audio and MIDI? Setup of the Live session?

Is this really such an issue since you can now view both Arrangement and Session view at the same time?

Actually, Live does all of those things. Can you provide more detail? Hard to tell what might be going wrong without more information.

Sustain is recorded as a MIDI clip envelope. Open the clip envelope dialog, locate the appropriate envelope (#4 in my setup), and clear the envelope.
