I made a huge mistake by testing Bitwig.
I realized

- you can edit audio in the Clip-View (!)
- you can put as many audio-files as you want in ONE Clip (!)
- also you can actually see automation IN the Clip in Clipview
- just like you can actually see the content (waveform, midi) IN the Clip in ...

I did try mapping the delete button in ableton but nothing happened. How did you do it?

The Track must not be armed, then it's working.
No wonder i did not easily find that out, because i m using -enableArmOnSelection in the options.txt... Because Ableton doesn't have that option in the preferences...

Not sure if i understood you correctly, but:
You can change the behavior of the looper, so that it plays after recording, instead of going into overdub mode. You have to change the overdub symbol to the play symbol by clicking on it.
