it would be really nice to have ableton on linux. ubuntu at least. why? because PC users deserve a nice and stable OS for making music we've got Mac! yeah, you're right but the cheapest macbook is 1100 bucks, while a nice and cheap compaq is less than 500 get your compaq and run live on windows NO! ...

READ THE MANUAL/FAQ

connect the midi
run ableton live
go to the settings and activate the keyboard as a midi in
go to session view, arm a midi track and make sure it has your controller as an input
choose a sound of the list on the left panel.

go to preferences and activate that midi controller. select a midi channel on the session view and make sure you keystation 88 is active, ARM THE TRACK and assign an instrument or vst.
