Re: Almost come to end of my tether with Windows 10...
Driver-wise I am trying to use the Focusrite USB2.0 ASIO (which I assume is the best one for my soundcard). If you are using a first gen 6i6 you need these drivers : https://d2zjg0qo565n2.cloudfront.net/sites/default/files/focusrite/downloads/20453/scarlett-mixcontrol-1.8.exe If you are using a sec...

Re: just a rant...
I get an error every time live closes. I haven't sent the report in because I rather just use another program.
Yeah, live crashes, live does weird things sometimes. To suggest the poster is using a torrent is either trolling or ignorantly dismissive.

Re: MacBook Pro 13” with i5 3.3 or i7 3.5?
Huh, what does that have to do with my post? It may be confusing to explain now but, before your post another poster seemed to have a question about the gpu's overheating in the 15 inch MacBook Pro. I thought you were responding to this poster. You posted that you just bought a 2015 inch MacBook pr...

Re: MacBook Pro 13” with i5 3.3 or i7 3.5?
Bought my 15" MBP a few months back, not had any issues with heat and running Live (or any other app). In fact it runs a lot cooler overall than my 2014 rMBP did. I would expect it to work just fine for you after two years. Theres no proof of longevity with you only owning it for two years and...

Re: Need advice re: replacing or fixing my computer (2011 MBPro)
My screen would black out sometimes. I knew about the issue before the gpu went bad so it did not come as surprise when it crapped out. Yeah, I would take that as a warning sign. Either buy a heat gun or something without a dedicated gpu. I wouldn't bother with the trashcan MacPro since it is way to...

Re: Need advice re: replacing or fixing my computer (2011 MBPro)
If you need a mac and you don't have the money for a brand new one with a 3 year warranty, then it is best to buy a 13 inch since they do not have a second graphics card or a 15 without out a second gpu. If you search the internet you will find that newer 15 inch macbook pro's are starting to have t...

Color Blind Here and I Need Some Help w/ skins
This sounds very odd coming from a color blind person, but is there anyway some one could make me a couple of pink and purple skins? I got some enchroma glasses and pink and purple look fantastic with them. Thanks.... not and ad for enchroma nor endorsing them in anyway at all. They are just generic...

This was a running gag on the forums circa 2006-2009ish.
You would have to search for the post but it was quite the hoot back in the day.

Re: Ableton Project file to Test you CPU
The truth is, even our cell phones are more capable devices than computers that made some of the classic albums of the 90's. The unwanted limitations are why the albums sound that way which probably played part in the created outcome of the albums. I guess im trying to say that maybe the albums bac...

Could the mods be more gentle with the moderation whip?
Moving posts to different areas of the forum when the post is on topic according to the rules makes the poster and the reader want to abandon the forum. The music and production area of the forum is full of post that are just asking for help. Why are they not deleted or moved when the person asking ...

Just finished the survey.
Why does this keep getting moved to the lounge.
According to the rules of this forum this post is completely on topic with Ableton and music production. This person would get more responses if the mod who moved this would have left it where it was.

Your issues might be due to indexing. It happens to most people after upgrading the os. After a few hours the disk are indexed and the problem goes away.

Re: Got the best processor, didn't see difference in Live
I also would go for the highest clocked cpu you can get. There are very few programs that utilize all the cores effectively beyond software that is custom made for things like servers running a lot of virtual machines usually used in business or school settings. When you get into the server league o...
