@shiftgordon- thanks man. I was pretty certain that was the answer based on my research but @jestermgee sounded pretty certain of it. I agree it is a functionality that one would think would be present in a DAW as sophisticated as Live. I'm still hoping @jestermgee or someone else has an answer.

In your middle section "Programming a note to a footswitch" I'm having something not occur as you said it would.

At step #7 the red light does not start blinking. So I'm not able to start using the numbered footswitches to enter numerical values.
