Re: Change audio track BPM

If the effect has a Dry/Wet control, then just automate that envelope. Set it to 0% when you don't want the effect applying, and then jump it up to whatever you want during the sections you want it on.

Re: Do you protect your Push when it's in your backpack?

I've recently completed a round-the-world trip with an unprotected Push in my backpack. Granted, it was only sharing the pocket with my laptop - I put everything else in the other pocket of the backpack - but it came through almost entirely fine. The one exception is the little rubber feet. Of which...

Re: Change audio track BPM

You've probably already looked at this, but if you haven't, this: https://www.ableton.com/en/manual/audio-clips-tempo-and-warping/ is the relevant section of the manual, starting at section 9.2. It's got screen shots of where the warping controls are. Another factor may be that sometimes it guesses ...

Re: Might be a stupid question..

Not sure about your first question. As for the second, have you tried automating the volume parameter for that one drum pad? First, expand the drum rack so you can see the controls for the particular sample/pad. Then show the envelopes, and use the automation to get that pad's volume to change as yo...

Re: Am I missing out without Push?

Heh, fair call. But for me personally, I far rather look silly than spend seven hours staring aimlessly out the window at the clouds. We're all different. Further, the point about weight is a good one. It's no backbreaker on its own imo, but coupled with a heavyish laptop, the combined weight can ge...

Re: Am I missing out without Push?

The fact that Push & a Laptop can both fit in the same backpack is a game changer for if you travel at all. Suddenly all those multi-hour train journeys and flights stop being interminable boredom, and become epic compositional jam sessions. So yeah, I reckon Push is awesome. Its ability to make...

Here, have some ambient dance music (feedback appreciated)

Howdy all, I'm new around these parts. As promised, here's some ambient dance: https://soundcloud.com/ignifluous-music/mare-insularum-insulam-maris (at least, that was the best genre I could come up with for it. heh) I've been making music with Ableton & Push for nearly a year now, but this is p...
