hi.
just to add a couple small points to the thread, with as little ulterior motive as possible...
regarding emulation:
- this is largely an abused term: i mean, emulating what? with old hardware like the 201 and maybe even the 501 there are no two hardware units identical, especially if they ...

Re: LFO kills undo functionality?
With devices like this it would be preferable to have batched undo steps. So if a device makes 20 changes in one operation an undo would undo all 20. I'm not sure if this could be done?
This is a different sort of use case, but yes I totally agree that this feature would be awesome. It is ...

hi @maky355.
Really pleased to hear you are liking Transient Machines and that they are proving useful to you.
Just to say, I consider Transient Machines to be stable, good quality, bug free code at the moment (no-one has reported anything out of the ordinary since release), so, if you do have ...

Re: LFO kills undo functionality?
Hi all, stkr of Diffuse etc here.
Ultimately, whilst there is what could be considered a 'bug' in both Diffuse and Magnetic, which I will fix, I believe that when created three years ago, this bug did not exist how it manifests itself now. I might be living in denial here, and yes I am ...

Hi there ivin & [jur], thanks for all this.
Just so others know, I have been in touch with ivin through Surreal Machines support and will report back here our findings once we get to the bottom of this.

hi there @maky355.
no, neither device introduces any latency. they make use of differential real time enveloping technique, and the optional limiter is not a lookahead, in order to give us the classic clipping distortion 'thwack' (which is sort of oversampled).
all the best.

Hi Stromkraft, apologies for delay in reply.
As I was taking ages to write my reply [mja] made a quicker more to the point (and possibly more useful!) reply. All [mja]’s points ring true, and I agree - these are the compelling features of our devices. And thanks to him as now I don’t have to make ...

hi maky355.
stkr from surreal machines here. sorry it took me a while to see your posts.

ernest, it sounds like you are talking about compiling custom externals written in C.
but i suspect you are not.
if you really are just talking about M4L devices (.amxd), then certainly not - you just make one patch on one platform and it will work flawlessly on windows, osx, 32 & 64. .amxd is ...
